Wilmot Valley is an unincorporated area in Lot 16. It’s located east of Summerside in Prince County in the western portion of Prince Edward Island. Its precise location is N 46°24', W 63°42'. The community is probably named after Lt. Col. Montagu Wilmot, appointed lieutenant governor of Nova Scotia in 1763 and governor in 1764. He died in 1766.
