Description: Octavo. Illustrated. Hardcover. Illustrated dust jacket. This book is a successor to Malpeque And Its People, Volume I, which was published in 1982. Volume II is prepared in two sections. The first is 84 printed pages and includes topics such as Geology and Geography, Native People, French Canadians, British Occupation, Early British Settlers, Shipbuilding, Religion, Parks, and Commerce. The second section is 89 printed pages and deals mainly with genealogy and has a separate title - The Princetown Pioneers, 1769-1771. The volume is bound in navy blue buckram with gilt titles on the front panel and spine. The dust jacket front panel displays an aerial view of Malpeque. The DJ shows edge wear, creasing and damp staining. A previous owner’s address label is fixed to the front free end-paper. The page edges show minor foxing. Overall, we rate the condition as fair to good.

Malpeque Bay is a municipality is a community located in both Prince and Queens Counties of Prince Edward Island. The community derives its name from Malpeque Bay, the second largest bay in the province. The Rural Municipality of Malpeque Bay includes the school districts of Baltic, Darnley, Hamilton, Malpeque, Indian River, Sea View and Spring Valley. Farming, fishing and tourism make up a large part of the local industries.
