Thomas Wright (1740–1812) was the surveyor general for Prince Edward Island. In 1765, Wright assisted Captain Samuel Holland in surveying P.E.I., what then was known as St. John's Island. In 1773, Wright became the Surveyor General for the island. Several descendants held the same position in P.E.I.
