This is described as a “new edition at a reduced price…made possible by (a) use of the same plates made for the original edition: (b) acceptance by the author of a reduced royalty.” Bound in beige cloth with burgundy titles on front panel and spine. Interior pages show minor age toning. Lower corner on back panel shows small area of loss. DJ shows edge wear, minor creasing, minor damp staining, small point of loss on front, and minor fading on spine. DJ now protected with Mylar sleeve.
Anne of Windy Poplars (also known as Anne of Windy Willows) details Anne Shirley’s experiences while serving as principal of a high school in Summerside, Prince Edward Island. A large portion of the novel is presented through letters Anne writes to her fiancé, Gilbert Blythe. Chronologically, the book is fourth in the Anne series, but was the seventh written by the author.
